One of the most beautiful Souls I have ever met… truly a man with love & compassion in his heart. As one of the many kids that Pat and Elaine took in through the 90s and early 00s, I feel like I’m echoing the sentiment of all of us when I say we all were so lucky to have had such salt of the earth folk taking care of us as we grew up. We were always treated like we were one of the family, and they guided us all via their good nature to be kind and fair to one another.

Beyond the life lessons learned, personally, I won’t forget the moments with Pat as he came home from work, to enjoy a non-alcoholic beer and some chopped cucumber to decompress.

I send nothing but love and condolences to Elaine, his children, the many grandkids I befriended, and all the other friends and family. Take care, cherish and celebrate the memories, he was one of a kind and a great man.

Despite the time that has gone by, both you and Pat have remained in my heart and in my mind. I feel so incredibly lucky to have had you both in my life throughout my childhood; introducing me to life-long friends and allowing me to make memories that still continue to bring a smile to my face.
