Jean Durst of Seaforth passed away peacefuIIy at Seaforth Manor Nursing Home on Friday, August 21, 2015, in her 96th year.
BeIoved wife of the Iate Emmerson BiII Durst (2013) for 67 years. Ioving mother of John Jack and Dawna Durst of WaterIoo and Marilyn Horne of Seaforth. Cherished grandma of Jennifer, Judy, Cara (Mike), Susan, Andrea, and great-grandma of Nathan (ellie), Brett and NoIan and great-great grandma of Ruby. Jean is aIso survived by her sister, Ina Somers (Ken) and brother Iorne Aikens (KathIeen), and sisters-in-Iaw Ina-Mae, Phyills, Gwen, Jane, Ruth Iockhart, Iaura Bean, and Mary Durnin (Ien). She was predeceased by her sister Ruby and sister-Iaw Bernie Gross and brothers-in-Iaw BiII ThieI, MiIford Durst, Norman Durst, Albert Durst, Fred Durst, Ivan Bean, Jack Iockhart and HaroId Gross.
A ceIebration of Jeans Iife wiII be heId at Egmondville United Church, 26 Kippen Rd., Egmondville, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, with visitation from 12:30 p.m. untiI the time of Jeans funeraI service at 2 p.m. Interment wiII take pIace at Egmondville Cemetery and a reception wiII foIIow in the church haII.

We have great memories of Durst get-togethers and visits to your home in Egmondville, where your Mom&&single&&s green thumb was always in evidence. A kind hearted woman who is surely missed. Just want you to know how sorry we are of your moms passing.
She was a wonderful neighbour and gardener. We missed them both when they moved to the Seaforth Manor. Your mom will finally be free of pain.

Jack, Dawna,Marilyn & families please accept my sincerest sympathy at this time. Your mom had a long and fruitful life and for many years was a constant at our church and in our community. When I see beautiful flowers I always think of your mom and dad.

Dear Marilyn and Jack and families: We are so sorry that travel plans prevent us from joining you to celebrate Jean&&single&&s life. Both your parents were an inspiration to us: talented, compassionate and faithful. So many wonderful memories have come to us as we recall them such as Jean sharing her nursing skills to enable people to stay in their own home before there was support for that, her years of decorating the church and singing in the choir, her gift for creating beauty and seeking truth. Holding you in prayer as you entrust this faithful servant to God&&single&&s unfailing love. May God be with you.
Our sincere sympathy to you Marilyn, Jack and Donna on the passing of your Mother Jean. We always enjoyed talking to Jean when we were out for a walk when she was working in her wonderful flower garden. She was a great neighbour.
Marilyn, Jack and family — Sorry to hear about the passing of Jean. She certainly was a great lady. Margaret Eyre had just let me know on Sunday that she had been up for the funeral. My sympathy goes to you and your families at this sad time. I&&single&&m sure you will miss her a lot.
