Passed away at Seaforth Community Hospital on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Eugene Janes for 59 years. Cherished mother of Eric Janes (Kim Hill) of Egmondville, John Janes (Maggie) of Seaforth and Linda Janes (Dan) of Thedford. Adored grandmother of Michael Janes (Kailynn) of Seaforth, Codie Janes of Brucefield, Jorgie Janes (Brody) of Clinton, Taylor Van Nynatten (James) of Milverton, Reghanne Howes of Toronto, Miranda Janes of Seaforth, Nicole Nolan of London, Matthew Nolan of Vernon, BC, Evan and Craig VanDerheyden of Thedford and great grandma of Chase and Emery Janes. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Mike Ritchie (Eleanor) of Nova Scotia, Bob Janes of Sarnia and Emily Janes of London. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Ray Janes.
In keeping with Isabel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A public celebration of life will be held at the Seaforth Legion, 123 Main Street South, Seaforth on Sunday, November 5th from 12 – 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Seaforth Legion Branch 156 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Isabel as a neighbor and friend. She was a special and unique person, keen to learn about a vast array of topics and share her knowledge. I hope she is continuing her quest and the answers to her many questions are revealed.
I will miss her.
