Ivan Guy “Guy” Giddings

Peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Saturday, August 13, 2011 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Doris (Bruce) Giddings. Dear father of Lee Anne and Michael Wiebe, D.J. and Glenn Chrysler, and grandfather of Ian. Also survived by his brother Robert and several nieces and nephews. Guy was a veterinarian in private practice at the Ark Animal Hospital in Orillia for many years. He moved to Exeter over twenty years ago to work as a regional veterinarian in the meat inspection program for the Ontario government. In retirement he enjoyed curling, golfing and his vegetable garden. The family would like to thank the staff at South Huron Hospital and also the many friends who dropped in to visit for a few minutes during his stay there. As per Guy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Wednesday evening 7-9 PM. A private family service will be held at Kirk Cemetery, Bracebridge.

Donations to South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
