IiIa Audrey (Norris) Storey, dear wife of Orville Storey of CIinton, formerIy of McKiIIop Township, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, in her 87th year. IiIa touched the Iives of many through her taIent and passion for dance, baking, art and music. She Iived Iife to the fuIIest and cherished the times spent with famiIy and friends. When she had the chance to sit it out or dance, she aIways danced. She wiII be dearIy missed. BeIoved daughter of the Iate Harry (Joseph Henry) and Emma Norris of Cromarty. Lila has touched so many peoples heart,I never met a lady with so much love and patience for her love of dance. I was a student of hers and she took each one of her dancers good or bad and treated us all like we were one of her own. She will be dearly missed. Han on tight to all the wonderful memories she has left you and there are many.
My sincerest condolences goes out to the entire Storey family. A VERY special lady whose reputation will live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who had the honour of &&single&&kicking up their heals&&single&& with her. The one and only “Lila” will definitely be missed.

My sincere sympathy to all of you. Lila was a wonderful person who danced her way into a lot of hearts, and encouraged us to join in with enthusiasm & great joy. My step dancing lessons were at the Orange Hall a very long time ago, but I can still remember her smile, her energy and her love of dancing. She touched a lot of people. Lila will always be fondly remembered as a significant part of childhood for so many of us in the area; encouraging us with that warm smiling laugh as we would step-shuffle-hop-touch-hop-kick-change in the Orange Hall and then later in the Town Hall. As children we did not realize we were part of something great…all at her doing!! My condolences to Lila&&single&&s family…she was one in a million!!!

My deepest condolences on the loss of your family matriarch. What an incredible life, Lila had, and I can honestly say knowing her made my own life all the more rich. I remember learning step-dancing from Lila from time to time when Sherry was not able to teach at both the Orange Hall and at the Storey home. Her front door was always open and I remember quite a few Halloween visits to the house as a child. It was an absolute honour to portray Lila at the Huron County Cloggers&&single&& Variety Show a number of years ago, and seeing her face light up at the realization that the entire show was dedicated to her and her life in dance, is a memory that I will always cherish. My heart goes out to you all, but cherish the time and the memories you have, and remember to lean on your family and friends to help you through the tough days. Thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers.

To Orville and whole Storey family. I&&single&&m so sorry to hear about Lila. I didn&&single&&t hear until today. Lila was such an inspiration and I was glad I had her teaching and guidance in my younger years in step dancing. I remember the time she got me on the Big Al show:), now that was a few years ago!!. also the time their family took a bunch of us students in during the big winter storm of &&single&&71. We had a ball. Lila didn&&single&&t make it look like any work at all. These are just a couple of my fond memories but also have enjoyed her entertainment over the years at Huronview for our residents. She was a very giving & loving lady.
I was so sad to learn of Lila&&single&&s passing. She was such a great lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the entire Storey family, I am saddened to hear of the passing of Lila. I have so many memories of driving to step dancing at the Orange Hall in Seaforth,on plywood in the living room at the Storey home and on Big Al. Lila&&single&&s face always lit up when the music started, her feet tapped the floor in perfect time and her heart poured out with patience for anyone who wanted to join in and learn her love of music and dance. She was a true gem that has left a very special place in my heart making fond childhood memories. I feel blessed to have Lila in my life and thank the entire family for giving up your Mom&&single&&s time with all of you to share her time in teaching me how to step dance. Cherish the memories!
