HORNER: Unexpectedly, at his residence on Thursday, February 8, 2024, Thomas Arnold Horner of RR3, Parkhill (Greenway), age 81. Much loved companion of Marion Jean (Glenn) Simpson. Loved father and father-in-law of Jeffrey Horner and Joey Lee Smith of Huron Park, Kimberly Ann and Peter Dupuis of London and Sherri Lee Horner of Northville. Cherished grandpa of Paige Smith, Hank Horner, Clay Horner and Joel Dupuis. Treasured great-grandpa of 12. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jean Glazier of Dashwood, Reg and Shirley Horner of Port Stanley, Barb and John Thomson of Exeter. Fondly remembered by Marion’s Family James Simpson and Sharon Kennedy McDonald of Centralia, Shelley Simpson of RR 1, Exeter and their children Joshua Simpson, Lindsey Simpson, Dylan Simpson, Stephanie McVeeney, Jimmy McVeeney and Brandon McVeeney, and his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Harry Dixon and Kathleen (Rock) Horner, brother Stan and Marion Horner, brothers-in-law Gord Glazier, Bob and Louise Glenn and Bill Glenn. At Tom’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. Private Family Interment Parkhill Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

I am so very saddened by this news. I was lucky enough to work with Tom many, many years ago and always looked forward to his visits in the scale house at Stebbins Paving. Condolences to Tom’s family from the Martelle and Stebbins family. We are thinking of you at this difficult time and hope you find peace in the many happy memories you have of your time with him. Hugs.
