I have many fond memories of time spent with Aunt Grace – Christmases, family dinners, visits, phone conversations. She loved to show me her beautiful flowers. She had a real gift for growing them. I loved her and will miss her.

Aunt Grace and Uncle Keith were a very special part of my growing up years.
We spent a lot of time together with our grandparents, aunts and uncles and all the cousins. We laughed lots, played games and shared amazing food. These are wonderful memories.

Hello Steve. Reading the news paper today and saw that your mom passed away. Sorry to hear that, I have thought of her often as I have you. Wow I couldn’t believe she was almost 100, just imagine what she has over her 100 years. Loved your mom and dad when they came into work. What a great privilege it was to have known Grace for over 50 years! Her love for the church, for gardening, for family and friends was appealing. What a hospitable, warm and appreciative person she was. Fond memories of Keith and Grace sharing stories that would bring smiles and laughter come to mind. Stephen, Marion, Russell and Verona and all of us who had the privilege of knowing her will have many heart-warming remembrances of her remarkable life.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of “Mama Grace” a title my two year old self gave to this lovely lady when I stayed with her family while my parents went to Anderson Convention.

She was a wealth of information for my son as he does family research.

My Mom improved so much after Grace moved into the same Care Facility as my parents.

We will so miss Grace!

Steven, so very sorry to learn of your Mom’s recent passing.Our family has fond memories of the farm and your parents during our “growing up years”at Schade View, the many years we drove through the farmyard to get back to the cottage and the always warm welcomes we received.My brother,Don expressed his condolences to you and the memories of riding the hay wagon all those years ago.I met your Mom and Dad at one of Bob Heywood’s auctions in the early 2000’s(shortly after I moved to Exeter) and your Mom knew me right away and your Dad remembered me as Mr. Hardwick’s granddaughter!!! My brother Ted still has the cottage but has totally redone it inside and out.There are not many of the old families left at Schade View but the memories of it and the “Horners” are wonderful.
