We were so shocked & sadenned to hear about Ruth. She was so endearing with her ready smile & chuckle. You were such a wonderful companion to her, Joe; your love was evident & we admire you so much. We will all miss her, you especially.

I just learned of Ruth’s passing, and I wanted to express my deepest sympathy.

Ruth was a big part of my childhood as she was a big part of my family’s restaurant. She was dedicated and loyal to my parents for so many years, and for that and so many other reasons, I genuinely adored her. Though she hasn’t been there for a long time, I can still picture her warm smile, and hear her laugh when I am home.

Dear Hogan and Weido families – You are on my mind and in my heart – Ruth and her family were a special part of the Zurich community – there are many treasured memories of those days. Ruth and I touched base and shared our new mother experiences – when our Jacqui and Maryann were babies. Joe was teaching in Essex county and we lived in Chatham -in the early 60’s. It was wonderful to contact years later – when Maryann and her husband and children – were a special part of our school system and parish community in Goderich. It was always special to see Ruth and Joe – we never loose the connections of our youth. She was a treasure – with a loving husband , girls and family.
