So sorry to read about the passing of your mom, grandmother and wife. She was a regular presence, as was Claire, during my high school days via my friendship with Doug. I have very fond memories of her and the Hoffman hacienda there on Huron Street. Winona will be missed. I hope things go well with the visitation, the service, etc. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Peace.

Phil

Condolence from Paul McAuley on December 28th, 2019 1:50 PM

My condolences to Claire, Doug, Karen and your families. The Hoffman house always seemed to be where we ended up when we are growing up in Exeter and I have many great memories of being around your family. Winona was always welcomed us and even kept us fed when at University. I still haven’t had banana muffins or fried chicken as good as hers.
