Alice passed away at LHSC – University Hospital on Monday, October 6, 2025 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Hodgins (2004). Loving mother of Edward Hodgins of Lucan. Dear sister of Tom Ryan of Lucan. Fondly remembered by her nephew and nieces. Predeceased by her parents Guy and Annie Ryan, sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Harold Woodburn, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Veda and Ralph Smith.
Alice loved spending time at home on the farm. When she married Gerald, she only had to move two farms down the road, where she spent the rest of her life with her loving family.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Friday evening from 6 – 8 PM, where Alice’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th at 11 AM. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.
Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Alice was my always smilin’ next door neighbour, for my entire life. She called me every year to wish me a happy birthday and a happy anniversary. Many great memories of our families farming together and stopping by for visits.

Will always remember Alice as a kind person, dropping off eggs to Mabel and having a visit with her when she no longer could get out. She was always chatty and cheerful and she will be missed. Our sympathy to you and your extended family.
So sorry to hear of Alice’s passing. We had many conversations and laughs with her over the years as we were picking up eggs at her home. My condolences to her family
