HINGE: Wayne of St. Marys

Peacefully at Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on Sunday, December 4, 2022 of St. Marys at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Darlene (Nelson) Hinge (2010). Cherished father of Sherrie Simpson and John Medd, the late Lezlie (2009) and John Szekely, David Hinge, Randall O’Connor and Michael Brown, Patti Hansen, and Stephen and Camas O’Connor. Proud grandpa of Jason, Jordan (Marissa) Simpson; Josh, Meghan, Brandon Taylor; Logan Hinge; Cheryl Lendvoy (Chris), Riley Hansen (Kayla), Jesse Hansen (Owen); and Kaitlyn O’Connor and great-grandpa of Chloe, Sienna, and Paisley. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Allan Hinge, and Wayne Norris. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and the Nelson family. Predeceased by his parents Leslie and Olive (Robbins) Hinge, son-in-law Ron Simpson, daughter-in-law Janice O’Connor, great-grandchildren Jayden and Aiden Simpson, sister Barbara Norris and sister-in-law Elizabeth Hinge.

Wayne worked as a salesman for Pioneer Electronics for many years. He enjoyed many camping trips to Horseshoe Lake in Parry Sound, and trips out west to visit family. He had a passion for fishing and always looked forward to his fishing trip to the camp on Cooper Lake in the Temagami area.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held in the new year when everyone is home and can gather together. Inurnment St. Marys Cemetery.
