HILL: Ruth Eleanor (Williams) of Seaforth, formerly of Lindsay and Cannington.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Seaforth Community Hospital on April 29, 2026, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Lloyd Cecil Hill for 58 years. Cherished mom of Kim Hill and Eric Janes of Egmondville, Constance Hill of Lucan, Sherri Hill of Seaforth, and Kerri Hill and Brian Ingersoll of Belle River. Proud Nana of Michael and Kailyn Janes, Codie and Caroline Sullivan, Taylor and James Van Nynatten, Jordan and Brody Marone, and Grayson Ingersoll. Great Nana to Chase, Emery, and Nathan. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Dianne Williams of Pike Lake, Betty Williams of Cannington, Robert and Claudia Williams of Moncton, NB, and Kathleen and Paul Barkey of Cannington, Nancy Jefferies, and Roy Hill. Predeceased by her parents Elsie and Howard Williams, her brother Cyril Williams, and by her siblings-in-law Joan and Norm Sheard, and Ernie and Verna Hill of Peterborough

Ruth enjoyed bowling and golf, and spent many pleasant days with Lloyd at the Exeter Golf Course. She was a passionate knitter and often gifted the people she loved with pieces she made.

In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, cremation has taken place, a celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at the Seaforth Legion, 123 Main Street, SEAFORTH on Saturday, May 23rd from 1 – 4 PM

Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
