To all those that loved Cindy.. I have known her since she used to work at the gas station here in Crediton,, and we became good friends.. We didn’t see each other very often, and when ever we did,, we shared some great laughs and many stories. She used to tell me about going home to visit,, and would describe where she used to live.. You could tell she loved it deeply. I am so shocked and saddened to read this news.. I liked Cynthia very much,, a very charming and down to earth lady. You and she are very much in my thoughts., and my condolences to you all during this extremely draining time.

My heart is broken. Cindy and I have been friends for many years. She was the type of friend that would do anything for those she loved. Since she retired, we just saw each other once a year when she and Lori vacationed in Ruidoso, NM. We crammed in every minute we could into those 4 days, laughing and teasing each other. I can’t comprehend I will never see her again and Nicki and I won’t have our bud to play “race cars.” Such precious memories. I know all of you who know and love her understand what a truly special person she was. Cindy, I love you dearly and will miss you so much!

As the “outsider”(spouse) among JPO Chiefs, Cindy was always one of the nicest and most inclusive of them all. Her sense of humor was wonderful and her frankness sometimes surprising but you always knew where she stood, which I admired and respected. Only got to see her and Lori once a year but looked forward to it greatly. Rest in Peace my friend.

Truly one of a kind. The times we had were filled with laughter, genuine ” belly busting”guffaws. And Joane would snort! Will miss you, dear friend. Prayers toLori and the family.

I only saw you once a year, but I hope you know how special that was to me and how I looked forward to it. You are a very special person and I will miss you so much. I treasure all the time we had and all the fun. You, Sandra, and I saw quite a few sunrises in Ruidoso. Of course you are the one who came up with the phrase “two olĂ© crows an one hot chick” for us, did we ever tell Sandra she was the hot chick. Rest in peace Cindy, and you will know how often you come to mind

My sympathies to Cynthia and the family that loved her named above in the obit. I write condolence on behalf of many of us in the field of juvenile probation in Texas when I say Cindy was loved and will be missed. Cindy stayed in our hearts long after she retired and left the state. She was a load of fun, a woman of grit, tough as nails and a teddy bear. She was, to those of us in juvenile probation, an ally, a sister, a bar partner, a ray of sun and hell-on-wheels if you got on her wrong side. Cindy will always be a daughter of Texas and we will miss her.
