Passed away peacefuIIy at Seaforth Manor Nursing Home, on Friday, JuIy 11, 2014. Born September 3, 1927 in Iangton, Ontario, Herbert John Staffen of Seaforth was 86 years oId. BeIoved husband of Ina (nee Campbell) Staffen. Dear father of ellzabeth Simon (Bob) of Kitchener and Pat Ashton of Brantford. Ioving grandfather of Peter, Tim and Iuke Simon, Eric and Sandy Ashton; and great-grandfather of eight. AIso survived by his sister-in-Iaw ShirIey Staffen of Seaforth.
Predeceased by his parents MeIville and Annie (nee Herbert) Staffen; brother GIen Staffen; and his son-in-Iaw BiII Ashton.
Herbert was a proud member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for 53 years.
Cremation has taken pIace and memoriaI visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Friday, JuIy 18, 2014 from 1 to 3 p.m. A graveside service Ied by Pastor Ian Marnoch wiII foIIow the visitation at MaitIand Bank Cemetery, Seaforth. Dear Staffen Family
I am so sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed chats with Herb at many craft shows over the years, and walks by his house. He was a very happy and friendly man. One of those people who was,a part of Seaforth&&single&&s Main St. I have some lovely wooden item made by Herb that will carry fond memories of a kind and talented friend.
