HERBERT: Betty Lorraine (Harris) of London formerly of Dorchester

Peacefully, at Earl’s Court, London, on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the age of 74. Dear sister of Sharon Nicholson and Randy Harris (Sarah Cooper) all of Dorchester. Aunt of Lesley Ann Griffin (Matthew) of Stoney Creek and Christie Harris (Cody Somers) of Dorchester, and great aunt of Owen Griffin and Oliver Somers. Betty is fondly remembered by her stepfamily Marion Herbert and Helen Hodgins, both of London, Betty Ann Waugh (Gary) of Belmont, and John (Terry) Herbert of Granton, and her grandchildren Jason, Elizabeth, and Amy. Dear sister-in-law of Helen Scott of Colorado and Carol Herbert of St. Marys.  Betty enjoyed speaking to Carol every day after losing her beloved husband of 27 years, Harry Herbert. Predeceased by Harry (2014), parents David and Kathleen (Jenken) Harris, brother Leslie Harris (2020), brother-in-law Fred Nicholson (2020), and grandson Andrew Herbert (2012).

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Monday evening from 7 – 8 PM and Tuesday morning from 10 – 11 AM. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, you are required to wear face masks/coverings and each person must RSVP for the visitation; please click “Register Now” below to register.

A private family graveside service will be held at St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye on Tuesday, September 28th at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Epilepsy Canada, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
