Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Monday, March 16, 2026 at the age of 82. Survived by his sister Rita Henry (Chris), sister-in-law Judy Fischer, nieces Jenny (Steve) Jones, Jody (Mike) Fletcher, Anita (Kevin) Hollands, nephew Ron Cybulskie and many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Oliver and Edith (Henderson) Henry, brothers Allen Henry, and Keith Henry, and sister Joyce Hyde.
Ike was a man who lived on his own terms – steady, resilient and never afraid to speak his mind. Whether through his work, his humour or the way he showed up when it mattered most. He was deeply passionate about stock car racing, both as a participant and a proud Delaware Speedway champion. A dedicated auto shop owner and truck driver, he had a natural talent and love for all things mechanical. Ike also enjoyed boating and travelling, embracing every opportunity for adventure. A devoted fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr., he especially cherished weekends spent at the racetrack, surrounded by the excitement of the sport he loved.
Ike will be remembered for his sharp wit, his independence and the way he could make even ordinary moments memorable.
You had a good run #60
A celebration of Ike’s life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, Exeter on Monday, March 23rd from 2 – 4 PM. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Donations to South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
I’m so sorry for your loss Ike was a good friend and a great neighbor. We spent alot of great times together. He will be never forgotten by me.
Oh Rita,
Thinking of you all as you share memories and precious time together these hard days. love, Ursula
Sad to hear of Ike’s passing. He certainly loved his cars and was very knowledgeable about many kinds of cars. A true passion for him.
Deepest sympathy to Ike’s family. He was a great neighbour at Parkbridge and will miss him playing cards at the hall.
So sorry to see this. Ike certainly was one of a kind. Without Ike I would never gone to the race schools at Atlanta and Michigan and lived out one of my greatest fantasies. My condolences to the family and may he RIP! Have fun with Gordie and Len.
Sincere condolences to Ike’s family. We met Ike while racing at Delaware speedway and his advice to me was “slow down and you’ll go faster”. He was a great competitor and we shared some great laughs. Ike’s gone to the big raceway in the sky. Rest in peace Ike.
We played hockey with Ike in Ilderton with a group of retirees every winter Monday and Thursday morning for the 15 or more years. In the early days he used to love rushing down the ice from his defense position much like a freight train. In more recent years he slowed down a fair bit – as do we all – but Ike, stubborn as he was, refused to let anything stop him from coming out. We last saw him on the ice as recently as December when you could tell he was pretty sick. He also would almost never miss our summer golf dates. Ike, you were a great part of our group. We will miss you.

I have known Ike since we were around the age of 17 & 18 when he first started dating Sheila. He was quite the character. All the nieces and nephews thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Shared many memories over the years, weddings, halloween parties and pool get togethers. Fun and happy times which I look back on often. You will be missed.
Ike played hockey in Ilderton twice a week with the Old timers. He was such a great guy on and off the ice. It was such an honour getting to know Ike and calling him our friend.

Wishing you peace at this difficult time. We will miss Ike at hockey.

Jenny and Jody and families
My sincere sympathy in the passing of your Uncle. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him, I know his sister was a “firecracker”, may he rest in peace.
So sorry to hear of Ike’s passing. I got to know Ike through his sister Joyce and his good friend Wendy. For many years he played golf in our Harrigan Tourney. He will be missed by many. My condolences to his family.
Ike and I played hockey together for the past 17 years in Ilderton… We were the two old guys and we bonded well… The last couple of years we played a lot of golf together at least every couple of weeks. Ike would play every day if someone wanted to join him…. he would not let anyone drive the cart, that was his job… you could tell family & friends meant so much to him…so sad to see his health struggles in the past year but he sure fought the good fight.
Ike you had a good heart.
Miss you!
Played golf with Ike for a number of years & had a lot of fun. Talked car racing a few times but never knew 60 was his number. What a coincidence I raced stock cars with a friend at Flamboro for many years, #60 Condolences
So sorry to hear of Ike’s passing. He was a fierce competitor on the track and a great man off of it. He ran with my dad for years and they built a friendship based on making cars faster. He will be missed. Our deepest condolences to all from the Ling family.
I had the distinct pleasure of being Ike’s defensive partner in various games over the past years and enjoyed how he would strategize how we would “handle” a player coming into our zone!At the hockey golf outing this past summer one of the lads brought in some old pictures of Ike in his racing days and his eyes lit right up as he brought us all down memory lane with some great stories.
Rest in peace Ike, save a spot for me on right D
So sorry to hear the passing of Ike, He sure did have a good since of humor. I always enjoyed seeing him at all of the visitations, You could always count on seeing him there.

On behalf of Marcia Little she also was saddened to hear of Ike”s passing and knew him well as a friend and neighbor. Rest In Peace my dear friend ! Sorry for your loss Pat and Kelly. Ike was a dear friend for 45 years . He taught me so very much . You always knew exactly what was on his mind . He was a master Snooker player, Race car driver , Mechanic ,very good at Business and a incredible “Papa” . Anything he set his mind to he would figure it out and make it work. I worked a lot of projects with him We would argue and torment each other constantly, always laughing. We had numerous fishing trips together, too many laughs always . The numerous trips to Erbsville go kart track will always be great memories . He was so very proud of Dalainey,Addison,Kenadee,Hudson and Brystol . They are very special to him .
Ike was a great friend and neighbor John, Nicole, Joe and I were very fond of Ike and always loved his stories. We stayed in touch after he moved but still missed him in the neighborhood. We will miss him dearly
My deepest sympathy to all. Played hockey with Ike for 12 years in Ilderton. Sat beside me in the dressing room during that time. I will miss his stories and I always looked forward to his unique perspective on life. His rushes up the ice made everyone smile and his joy of simply putting on the skates reminded us why we all still play the game. Rest in peace.
Rita and Family. Ike’s life was filled with moments worth remembering — laughter, kindness, and strength. I hope you can celebrate the beautiful parts of his story, even as you mourn his loss.
Our deepest sympathy.
I wish to offer my condolences to Ike’s family. I played hockey with Ike for 15 years and also golfed numerous times with him. He always had many stories to share from his racing experience to his travels while in the trucking business. In my early years playing with him there was always someone who would make the train sound as Ike made his rush down the ice. Even though his health was failing he still made the trip to Ilderton to play with the boys. RIP Ike you will be missed
Condolences to his grandchild, Dalainey, Addy, Kenadee, Hudson and Brystol, you were always a top coversatiin. All your accomplishments were something he was always proud of.
