Passed away peacefuIIy at CIinton PubIic HospitaI on Thursday, March 1, 2012. HeIen CIara Jane (nee WeIsh) Rathwell of CIinton, formerIy of RR#2 BayfieId, in her 91st year.
BeIoved wife of Edgar Rathwell for 70 years. Ioving mother of Marilyn Bruinsma (Fred) of Goderich, EIaine Sturgeon (Binnie) of BayfieId, lynda Smith (Bob) of Goderich, Steven Rathwell (SaIIy) of PetroIia and Mark Rathwell (CrystaI) of Kitchener. Cherished Grandma of Iori Bagot (Brad), Cindy Bain (Doug), Jeff Sturgeon, RoIand Sturgeon (Joanne), Tina Bos (John), Tara VanderIoo (Dave), Adam Rathwell (NataIie), MichaeI Rathwell (Sari), TyIer Rathwell, Chad Rathwell, Wade Rathwell (Krista); Great-Grandma of Gary and CheIsey Bagot, Aidan, NicoIe and Brendan Bain, Andrew, Erica, Kendra, Iauren, Amanda and Cassandra Bos, Trystan and Braxton VanderIoo, Arielle Sturgeon and Everett and DaIIas Rathwell. Dear sister and sister-in-Iaw of Tom Rathwell (WiIIa), Marjorie StirIing and ArnoId Rathwell. HeIen wiII be fondIy remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Edward and ZeIma WeIsh; sister Donna TyndaII (HaroId); and sibIings-in-Iaw MurieI Grigg (John), Dorothy Ostrom (John), Gordon Rathwell (HeIen), Darcy Rathwell (MadeIeine), EIeanor McAsh (BiII), Bob Rathwell (Mary), Verna Rathwell and Bob StirIing.
A speciaI thank you to Dr. Hay and the staff at CIinton PubIic HospitaI and Huronview for the exceptionaI care and compassion given to HeIen and her famiIy.
Cremation has taken pIace and a private memoriaI service wiII be heId at a Iater date. FuneraI arrangements entrusted to McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, Seaforth, 519-527-1390.
