HAYTER: Gordon Clare

Hayter: Unexpectedly, at his residence, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, Gordon Clare Hayter of Goderich and formerly of Clinton, Exeter and Thedford, age 87.  Loving husband and best friend of Jeanene Ellen (Close) (Drake) (Tucker) Hayter and the late Diane Mylene (Kenny) Hayter (2000).  Loved Father to Mark Hayter of London, Perry Hayter of Iona Station, Karen & Raymond Sheppard and Kelly & Wayne Thompson all of Thedford. Step-father to David & Barbara Drake of London, Rob & Tammy Drake of Elimville and Sharina & Jack Snieder of Auburn. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Verona & Russell Snider of Goderich, Irene & Nelson MacGregor of London, Allan & Marlene Hayter of Parkhill, Dawson & Betty Hayter  and Dianne Hayter all of Grand Bend, David & Phyllis Close and Hugh Close all of Woodstock, Will be remembered and missed by his grandchildren, Tiffany Miller (Kevin), Stacy Dunham (Justin), Justine Sheppard (Chris), Greg Sheppard (Natasha), Taylor Thompson (Dylan), Tanner Thompson (Lauren) and step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their families.  Predeceased by his brother Dale Hayter (2011), infant sister Olive Irene, his parents Oliver (1985) & Eleanor (Scott) Hayter (2005) and step-son Wayne (2022) and his wife Johanne (2020) Drake. Clare owned and operated  Clare’s Collision Centre for many years in Thedford. Resting at T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Thursday, July 03, 2025,  7 – 9 PM, where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 04, at 11 am.  Mr Bob Heywood officiating.  Interment Grand Bend Cemetery.  Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated.
