HAWLEY: Peacefully, after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer, at his residence on Thursday, February 24, 2022, David Albert Hawley of Defore Estates, Grand Bend, age 79. Beloved husband of Donna Eileen (nee Scott) Hawley. Father and father-in-law of Lisé Murphy (Joe) of North Bay and Chris Hawley (Michelle) of London. Step-father of Scott Jones of Ailsa Craig and Shannon Schreiner (Tim) of Point of Rocks, Maryland. Grandfather of Evan Murphy, Alexis Marceau (Nathan), Nathan Hawley, Tabitha Hawley. Great-grandfather of Heidi. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jim Hawley (Donna) of St Thomas, Doug Scott (Janice) of London. David will be fondly remembered by Donna’s Step-brothers and their families, the members of the Jones family and by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Edith (Jenkins) Hawley, sister Linda Askew and father-in-law Edgar W. Scott. At David’s request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held when the sun shines and the warm breezes blow, date, time and location to be announced. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable direct) to the Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
