I remember Doug from all the years watching the boys play hockey and baseball. His parents were at all the games cheering him on.

Jenny, Hayley, Emily and families, I am saddened by the passing of my favourite goalie. Growing up, Doug and I would play hockey in their garage for hours. We even celebrated together after winning our OMHA “DD” Peewee Championship. He was such a competitor in all the sports he played.
My condolences to the family. Cherish the special moments and keep them close to your heart. I will miss my old neighbour and little buddy. Rest in Peace Doug.

It is such sad news to hear of Doug’s passing. Doug was such a great person, and I always enjoyed getting caught up whenever I seen him. My condolences to the entire family.

To the Haskett family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Doug. I recall from our youth that Doug was the smoothest roller skater to ever put on wheels. In sport, he was a competitor but also the wittiest teammate one could ever have. Doug had the ability to light up any room he entered and was sure to provide an observation or joke that brought everyone to laughter. Doug was taken too soon and will certainly be missed.
