So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. He was truly a great guy! We have many fond memories over the years, from the volleyball parties at the house to gatherings at the cottage. Take comfort in knowing he is at peace now, and reunited with your mom.

Dave and I have so many wonderful memories of the times we spent with Jim and Linda., all of the Christmas Eve parties at my Mom’s house, lots of parties in our back yard in London.
I remember the laughs we had when I cooked a duck dinner for them and we ended up at the KFC.

Joe and I are sad to read the news about your Dad. I was bar steward at the Press Club for 11 years and loved when your Dad came in for a game of pool or to share some friendly witty banter sitting at the bar.
Always a smile and a cheeky giggle while enjoying his ” special coffees or a wee dram ” . He truly was a genuine soul with a wonderful character. My hubby and I have so many lovely memories of him.

For over 35 years Jim had brightened my life whenever I was around him. Your dad was an amazing soul, and both Kat and I will never forget him. He loved everyone. We loved him dearly. We are thinking of all of you during this difficult time. Together we spent decades playing horse shoes, volleyball and swimming in Ilderton, at the London Press Club or on the golf course. Whether it was in London or destinations like Myrtle Beach, your dad had a competitive spirit when it came to golf. He loved the camaraderie. Jim also had an amazing ability to affect those around him with what he referred to as “balance”. A way of managing life and situations between work and play. I will always remember Jim for that. Your dad had a rescue golf club that was passed down from his dad. When he hit a great shot with it we would always say “thank you Joe”. Now I would like to say “thank you Jim” for the many fond memories I will always have and the impact your dad had on our lives and those around him. We will miss him dearly. He was one hell of a guy.

He was a great father and friend and it was a privilege to known him for some 32 years and of course Linda who recently predeceased Jim. Shared many meals and over 100 rounds of golf, his great passion at many different venues. Seeing and hearing how proud he was of his children, remember him taking me to a bar to watch his son Kris play guitar in his band. He left us too soon but with many memories that will not be forgotten of this caring man who touched many.

So sorry about your father and my brothers passing. His life was cut to short for all concerned His favorite sport after hockey was golf as told by many who have played with him over the years. Jim`s ability too make people feel comfortable upon meeting them for the first time was great.
