GRASDAHL: Terry of Exeter

Posted By Haskett Funeral Homes On May 30, 2022 @ 8:37 PM In Exeter,Obituary | 42 Comments

GRASDAHL: Terry of Exeter

At home, Terry Grasdahl of Exeter, age 66. Dear son of Clifford Grasdahl and the late Lauretta (1998) and his late stepmother Mary Katherine (2019). Much loved brother of Wendy and Richard Jennison of Grand Bend, and Ronald of Lucan. Fondly remembered as “Uncle Todd” to Alisha and Chris, JoDee and Chuck, and Erin. A proud great uncle to Claire and Emily, Blake, Cameron and Reid, all of whom were able to get a laugh out of him at our family gatherings.

Terry was a 45-year employee of Dashwood Industries – a job he enjoyed and worked at until retirement in October 2021. A quiet and reserved person by nature, Terry loved his family, enjoyed his friends and work colleagues and will be missed by all who knew him. Terry was an avid reader of all sport articles and loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays, the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

A private funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 11 AM. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Though the service is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your home. Stream the service live or at your convenience by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh

If desired, and in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Huron County Food Distribution Centre or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Carolyn and I both worked with Terry for years at Dashwood. I remember him most when a conversation at work would break out about sports. Any sport. Terry seemed to know them all and had his favorite teams. Quiet, but very knowledgeable, Terry would often give his opinion on his thoughts and we loved to hear them. To Wendy, Richard and family we are sorry to hear of Terry’s passing, may God bless you and your family as you go through this difficult time.
