GOW: Margaret “Margie” Doris (Whaling)

GOW: Peacefully, at Jessicas House Hospice, Exeter, on Monday, June 23, 2025, Margaret “Margie” Doris (Whaling)  Gow of Turnbull’s  Grove N. Dashwood, age 81. Beloved wife and soul mate of the late Melvin “Mel” Roy Gow (2019). Loved mother of Mark Osment & Shelley Hall, Tracy Osment  and Lisa & Paul Runstedler. Remembered by her step children Patty & Murray Hachman and Bruce Gow. Loved grandma of Mark Osment Jr. & Kristin, Sarah Runstedler and Bradley Runstedler, Justin Hachman, Amy Hachman and Kaitlyn & Ian McAlpine. Loved great-grandma of Mason Osment and Neil Osment. Cherished sister and sister in-law of Linda & Fred Craven, Ron & Bev Whaling, Carol & Paul Martin and Bill & Laraine Whaling, Doug Gow, Nelson & Margrit Gow, Steve & Lynda Gow, Richard & Colleen Gow, Linda & Larry Karges. She will also be remembered by her long time cherished Turnbull’s Grove neighbour and travel companion Dorothy Morrow. She will be fondly missed by her fluffy Pet Bunny Rosie. Predeceased by her parents William & Violet (Ayres) Whaling and her siblings Peter Whaling and Dale Whaling, Sandra Gow, Linda Gattie-Gow, Dennis Gow & partner Tracey Beard. At Margie’s request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Celebration will be held in her honour, on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Turnbulls Grove Shed, Recreation Lane, Turnbulls Grove N. Dashwood. Margie was well known in the Turnbull’s Grove Park and enjoyed many winter vacations in Cuba and Dominican with her family. She was also an active Volunteer at the Grand Bend Legion and was often referred to as the popcorn lady. Arrangement entrusted to T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. Memorial Donations if desired to Jessica’s House or Charity of choice would be appreciated.
