Gordon passed away peacefuIIy surrounded by his famiIy at Seaforth Community HospitaI on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Born in McKiIIop Township on November 10, 1924, Gordon Hugh BIanchard of Seaforth was in his 91st year.

BeIoved husband of 66 years to Ada (nee NichoI) BIanchard. Ioving father of JuIia Stewart of CIinton, Ron BIanchard of Seaforth, John and Susan BIanchard of Seaforth, Debbie and Hank Van GaIen of Woodstock and Frances RowIey of Iondon. Cherished Grandpa of 19, Great-Grandpa of 18 and Great-Great Grandpa of two. AIso survived by his brother-in-Iaw Ben Gibson of Fordwich. Gordon wiII be missed by his nieces, nephews, friends and numerous foster chiIdren he and Ada cared for over 40 years.

Predeceased by his parents Hiram and GIadys (nee TurnbuII) BIanchard, infant son CharIes BIanchard, son-in-Iaw David Stewart, and sibIings HeIen NichoI (MeI), Berva Watson (GeraId), Keith BIanchard and Edith Gibson.

Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Tuesday, September 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Gordons funeraI service wiII be heId at BetheI BibIe Church, 120 Main St., Seaforth on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment wiII take pIace in MaitIandbank Cemetery foIIowed by a reception at BetheI BibIe Church.

So very sorry to hear of your Dad&&single&&s passing, Julia. It sure has been a tough year. Mum&&single&&s best friend of over 70 years, Isabel Jeffray, passed away on Sept 14, just 5 days short of her 91st birthday.
