GOODHUE: Leah Elizabeth of Huron Park

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leah Elizabeth Goodhue, a bright and compassionate soul, who left this world on Monday, March 24, 2025. Born on October 31, 2008 in London, Ontario, Leah was a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend.

Leah was known to light up the room in a matter of minutes with her sassy, and funny sense of humour. With such a kind heart, all she cared about were the people around her; making sure everyone else was put before herself. There are no words that can describe her; she was the best in every way, shape and form. She was so incredibly smart and talented, she left a mark on everyone’s heart.

Last year, her mom got her a kitten and it was the best decision she ever made. Her cat Freddy will forever remain as a cherished memory of Leah for her mom to hold close to her heart. Freddy was her best fur friend and she made that known.

Leah loved her job at the barn, even though she was known to all as a “girly girl”. No one could touch her hair and she took a while to get ready but overnight, she went from a girly girl to a farmer!

Family time was very important to her, and she held her family close. Cherished daughter of Charlene (Shawn) and Joshua Rundle and step-daughter of Rachelle. Proud granddaughter of “Ma and Pa”, Anita and Randy and “grandpa Greg”, Greg Rundle. Adored sister of Maxwell, Rowynn, Aiden, and the late Harper. She will be fondly remembered by her boyfriend Colton and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by her Papa Mike, and grammi Kelli.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Sunday, March 30th from 1 – 3 PM with words of remembrance to follow at 3:30 PM.

Donations to Ronald McDonald House Southwestern Ontario, or the Humane Society London & Middlesex would be appreciated.

Leah always came to work with a smile and compassion for everyone. She was always asking if I needed shifts covered and helped me when needed. She was willing to give the kittens we found a new home if I couldn’t find one and she checked in on them to make sure they had everything they needed and assured me she could spare me some food and litter if needed, her kindness and caring soul was truly genuine. I will always carry the Memories we made at work working at McDonalds with me each day in my heart. ❤️ So sorry for your loss My condolences to Leah’s Family & friends sending prayers and keeping you in my thoughts.

Leah was a memorable student of mine who I taught a few years ago at St. Joes. She was loving, funny, talented and of course a little sassy! I taught her two courses, so I got to know her quite well. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. She was always so compassionate and thoughtful of students in need and always volunteered to befriend and assist with students who had special needs. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She was creative and had bright ideas. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and those close to Leah. May she rest in peace.

Leah was one of my most unforgettable students.
She was exceptional—both academically and artistically—always going above and beyond what was required. Her energy was vibrant, her spirit was fun, and she had a remarkable way of making everyone in the class feel included and valued.

Leah left a lasting mark on my life, just as she did on the lives of so many others who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rest in peace, Leah.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends, who will miss her deeply and dearly. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength.
