Gloria Jean (Steele) Barclay

Barclay, Gloria Jean (Steele). At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Friday, April 16, 2010 of Exeter in her 65th year. Beloved wife of Michael (Mike) Barclay. Dear mother of Lisa Barclay and her fiancé Corey Neyedly of Toronto, Heather and Jeremy Hrudka and Scott Barclay and his friend Jen Strang all of Exeter. Loving grandmother of Parker and Jesse. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Alice and Don Reinhart of Ridgeway. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Jean Steele. Gloria’s smiling face has been a part of Ironwood Golf Club in Exeter since 1991.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Tuesday evening 7-9 PM where a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 21st at 11 AM with Bob Heywood officiating. Cremation with inurnment Exeter Cemetery.

Donations to the ALS Society of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

Gloria’s kind and thoughtful nature was evidenced by her visits to me in hospital 12 years ago, even though we hadn’t seen each other for many years.

Such sad news. Gloria and I spent all of our elementary school years as the only two girls in a country school class. Such nice memories.
So sorry that life got in the way and we lost touch over the years.
