GLANVILLE: Marjorie of Exeter

Marjorie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at South Huron Hospital on Friday, August 29, 2025 in her 103rd year. Predeceased by her husband Charles Glanville (1977). Marjorie will dearly missed and fondly remembered by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marjorie had a love for the simple joys of life—gardening, canning, and cooking were among her favourite pastimes. Fiercely independent and happiest at home, she cherished the comfort of her own space while caring deeply for those she loved.

A private family service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter. Interment Exeter Cemetery.

Donations to South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Marg was wonderful lady and will be greatly missed. I am so sorry to hear of her passing send my deepest sympathy from Les and myself. She was one of my dearest customers for years and years and Charlie was the best husband any lady could have he use to drive her in on stormy morns for her appointment and would wait on her and then do the shopping.

Aunt Marjorie was a true gem. She had a mind like a steel trap, even in her 100’s she remembered stories long forgotten by me and my sisters. I’m so glad I got to visit with her in her home these past Summers.
She had the most amazing laugh, and I’ll never forget it.
Rest in Peace dear Auntie, love you always 💖

Our condolences to Marj’s family, we were so sorry to hear she had passed away. Every Friday for almost 30 years I talked to this spunky, feisty lady to take her grocery order and it was never a short conversation.
Rest in peace Marj, you will be missed.

Dear Marjorie’s Family: I had many memories when I read Marjorie’s obituary. She was a “trooper”, She was a very strong woman, who I admired. I retired 7 years ago and have often thought of her. We spent alot of time together and enjoyed each other’s company. Well done Marjorie, you lived a long and fruitful life. A true cargiver you were!!! Love Liz Herman
