Peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Tuesday, December 7, 2004, Esther Joyce (Schwartzentruber) Gingerich of R.R. 2 Zurich, in her 50th year, went to be with her Lord. Beloved wife of Harold Gingerich. Dear mother of Jonathan and Nathan at home. Loved daughter-in-law of Keith and Helen Gingerich of Zurich. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Delores and Earl Mohr of Tavistock, Arlene and Ken Seyler of Zurich, Sharon and Grant Kaufman of Tavistock, Carol and David Steckle of R.R. 2 Zurich, Arnie Schwartzentruber of Tavistock, Keith and Karen Schwartzentruber of Shakespeare, Veronica and Dean Bell of Barrie, Virginia and Ken Steckle of Bayfield, Audrey and Mel Melick of Dashwood, Wayne and Anita Gingerich of Zurich, Ruth and Henry Sikorski of White Rock BC and Paul Gingerich of Zurich. Sadly missed by her step mother Mattie Schwartzentruber and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her parents Serenus and Esther (Roth) Schwartzentruber and one brother in infancy.

Family and friends will be received at the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. N., Zurich on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will be conducted in the Zurich Mennonite Church on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 3 p.m. Pastor Phil Wagler officiating. Interment Zurich Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to South Huron Hospital, Zurich Mennonite Church or London Regional Cancer Clinic.
