Passed away at LHSC- University Hospital, on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 of Zurich at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Marg (Vermunt) Gingerich. Loving father of Megan Gingerich and Carlos Cruz of Strathroy, David and Stephanie Gingerich of Fort Frances, Steven and Adriane Gingerich of Sioux Lookout, and Colin Gingerich of Kenora. Adored Poppa of Hannah, and Spencer. Dear son of Margaret (Erb) Gingerich of Zurich. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Marlene and Dennis Estep, Char and Dan Elliot, Delores Gingerich, Liz and Garry Masse, Joanne Boyes, Walter and Brenda Vermunt, Mary-Ann and Randy Craner, and Joe and Laurie Vermunt. Predeceased by father Cleve Gingerich, and brother Cliff Gingerich. Rick was the proud owner of C.G. Farm Supply (C.G. Equipment) for 29 years. He was a dedicated member of the community, retiring as Deputy Fire Chief with the Zurich Volunteer Fire Department.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street North, ZURICH on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Kingsfield – Zurich Mennonite Church, 37818 Zurich Hensall Road on Saturday, March 9th at 11 AM. Spring interment St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph.
