Peacefully at Mitchell Nursing Home with her husband by her side, on Thursday, December 10, 2020 of RR 2 Ailsa Craig, at the age of 89. Cherished and beloved wife of Ab Gilmour for over 64 years. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Edythe Scott, Liz and Alan Scott, Patricia Romphf, Marg Gilmour, and Arnold Lindenfield. Alice will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Kay Haggar, brothers and sisters in-law, Don Scott, Jack and Ann Gilmour, Joan Gilmour, Gerald Gilmour, Verlyn Lindenfield, and Neil Romphf.
Alice worked at the Bank of Montreal in Lucan for over 37 years. She and Ab farmed for many years and they were the proud owners of several successful race horses over the years.
Alice’s funeral service will be held Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Saturday, December 12th at 11 AM with Reverend Matthew Martin officiating. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP for the service in the funeral home. Please click “Register Now” below to register. So very sorry to hear the passing of Alice, I sure enjoyed getting to know her in the hair salon over the years, seeing her every Friday.We shared a lot of stories and many laughs. She sure loved that she shared the Birthday of my daughter.

Ab & Family, My Deepest Sympathy, I’m so Sorry to hear of Alice’s passing, I had the privilege to know Alice for over 30yrs , every Friday to have her hair done , I don’t think she missed too many appointments over the years with weather or sickness a real trooper. We got very close over the years we would tease each other & had many laughs .I will miss you Alice, Fridays haven’t been the same with out, we all have miss you in the salon. You would never say the words “Good Bye!” you would rather say” So long see you see you next week,” I guess it is now time to say Good Bye my Friend RIP Alice
