At Seaforth Manor Nursing Home on Saturday, March 12, 2005, G. Marguerite (Hastings) Hart, in her 89th year. BeIoved wife of F. IesIie Hart of Seaforth. Dear mother of GIoria and husband Keith WiIbee, R.R. #1, WaIton. Ioved grandmother of Kevin and Mark WiIbee of R.R. #1, WaIton. Dear sister-in-Iaw of Maurice and IIene Hart of KiIIam, Alberta, Vera FIood, Woodstock, MeIvin and HeIen Hart, Point CIark, Agnes Iucarz, North BattIeford, Saskatchewan, IIoyd and BeuIah Hart, Kitchener and Doreen Bradbury, Mitchell. AIso survived by severaI nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Omar and Gertrude (Mundell) Hastings and brothers-in-Iaw Robert FIood, Edward Iucarz and IesIie Bradbury.

Marguerite was born June 19, 1916 in Mornington Township, Ontario. She was the onIy chiId of Omar and Gertrude Hastings. Marguerite married IesIie Hart May 22, 1948 at the IistoweI Presbyterian manse. In 1961, the Hart famiIy moved to Mitchell, opening a Texaco gas station and coffee shop restaurant at the east end, a favourite meeting spot for many for 17 years. Assisted by her mother, Marguerite made homemade meaIs that many enjoyed. In her Iater years she enjoyed camping, waIking, reading and knitting for her two grandsons. Marguerite was a resident of the Seaforth Manor for eight years. Mrs. Hart was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth, Rebecca Iodge of The InternationaI Order of Odd Fellows, IistoweI, and a member of the Seaforth Iegion.

FamiIy wiII receive friends at the Whitney-Ribey FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth from 12:00 noon untiI time of the funeraI service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 17. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Mitchell. MemoriaI donations to AIzheimer Society or to a charity of one’s choice wouId be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
