Passed away peacefuIIy surrounded by his Ioving famiIy at Seaforth Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday, JuIy 21, 2015, in his 92nd year.
DeepIy beIoved husband of the Iate Irene (nee KiIgour) Tilley for 68 years; Ioving father of Ken Tilley (Kathryn GrimbIy) and Susan Rau (MichaeI Harpell); cherished grandpa of Wendy Rawes (Chris), Chrissy MacDougaId (Jeff), Ian Tilley (IsabeI DunIop), CharIie Rau (AIicia) and Morgan Tilley-Woo (Chris); much Ioved great-grandfather of Jackson Rawes, Danica Rau, IsIa MacDougaId, Grace MacDougaId, Roscoe Rau, Emma MacDougaId and Eric and Cameron Tilley.
Cremation has taken pIace and a private graveside service wiII take pIace at Pine Hills Cemetery in Scarborough at a Iater date. FuneraI arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, Seaforth, 519-527-1390.

My condolences to all the Tilley family. We had the pleasure of residing beside George & Irene, for a few years on Arncliffe.

George was such a kind generous man. His fantastic little wood carving&&single&&s for the kids, George was always at the ready to lend a neighbouring hand. I can see George running about on his sitdown lawnmower in the back yard. He was a fine gentlemen.

I was a Beaver Scouter Service Team Leader with West Scarborough Group. He was a very kind hearted leader I enjoy listen to his story about younger years in Scouting.

Ken, Susie and families – Vic and I send our heartfelt condolences to you all. Your Dad was one of the kindest gentlemen ever and always brought a smile to my face. He never stopped calling me fru-fru, even when I was well past wearing them. Both he and your Mom will be sorely missed.
