Condolence from Tena and Bruce Elliott on December 15th, 2010 7:54 PM

We were shocked and very saddened by the news of George’s untimely passing. He was so confident that this surgery was going to be routine. I enjoyed talking to George last week just as I enjoyed routinely having little conversations with him at my office. He was a bright spot in my day ever time time stopped in to share his vast knowledge about so many subjects. He was such a unique guy who was liked by all who came into contact with him. he is going to be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with Judy.

Condolence from Deb Fisher on December 15th, 2010 10:00 PM

Dear Judy, There is not a moment that goes by without you being in my closest thoughts and prayers. Life is very short on this earth, and I can say by what I seen in your lives that you and George lived life to the fullest each and every day. The memories and the love that George had for you will never leave your heart, because he blessed you with all of his heart and most of all his unconditional love. May you feel the brush of angel’s wings keeping you steady and strengthened as you move through this difficult time. I know that words cannot make a difference, but may you find comfort in the love of family and friends. God Bless! Love Deb

Condolence from Susan Mills on December 16th, 2010 9:36 AM

My sympathies go out to Judy and George’s family. It was a shock to hear the terrible news. George was so positive about this surgery and convinced he would be “back in the office” real soon to resume his treasury work at the Chamber. George will be missed a great deal, not only by those who knew him socially, but those who worked with him at the Grand Bend Chamber of Commerce and those in the greater business community. I will miss George’s visits to the Chamber office, as he always seemed to bring a sense of fun with him. George was truly a gentleman. I will remember in particular his consideration and concern for others and his sense of humour.

Judy –

Twenty years ago this past March, I met George for the first time as a co-worker in Florida to open a little travel office. I was always impressed by George’s knowledge base; he was a walking encyclopedia on just about every topic you could muster to think of. I remember us walking into Liberties Book store at Mizner Park; George would walk out with 6-7 books and I would ask, “how long will it take you to read all those?” His response was about 3-4 weeks. He loved to read fiction, but his first love was history.
Judy, George was a wonderful human being with a kind heart; we are truly blessed to have had the opportunity to be his friend and share his life experiences. We are sadden by his passing, but hope you realize that we have never seen George happier than when you entered his life. Please stay in touch, as we will. We hope you continue to share and capture all of what life has to offer through your lens.

To Judy
Jack and Marg and family
Judy and George and family

We were saddened to hear of your loss. George will always be remembered in our house as a wise and generous man. A fun loving guy who liked to have a good time with friends and family. We will always remember the few times we saw him, during the Christmas holidays mostly or over a conversation on the best way to build something out of wood. These were the times he would come to Canada to visit his Mom and Dad. We remember being at his Condo in Fort Meyers and going out to dinner with him there, what a host. He loved that Mustang rag top.
Judy I am sorry we never met but our connection is through the fact that my Dad and George’s Dad worked together. I ended up buying Bill and Gene’s house in Kitchener where George could come and visit and was always welcome.

God bless and may He be with you always.
Steve
