To the Gamble family,
Our deepest sympathy to you in the passing of your mom. It was always pleasant to chat with her whenever we would see her. She lived a long life well!
Our sincere condolences to the Gamble family on the passing of your Mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We got to know Mrs. Gamble over the years when she visited her son Ben, his wife Adele and their children in Alberta. Mrs. Gamble loved sharing stories of her family in the “home country” and the workings of the farm in Exeter. She joined us for many Christmas dinners and summer bar-b-ques, always bringing some little gift for the host and hostess. She has lived a long and good life and will be remembered for the experiences and the stories she shared, especially those from WW11 and the farm. May she Rest in Peace and may you find comfort in the memories you shared.
I really enjoyed getting to meet and visit with Alida. She was a lovely lady and I know you will miss her as will I. Please accept my condolences.

Thinking of you as you mourn the loss of your mother, grandmother, great grandmother Alida. She was the kindest sweetest lady from the time she was our neighbour on Hern Line and even after we moved to Exeter she always spotted me and was ready for a chat. She sure lived her 100 years to her full potential. May her special memories now become treasures you will carry in your hearts forever. Deepest Sympathy.

To Alida’s Family
My condolences to you all as you mourn the loss of your Mom & Grandma. Alida was always so friendly and loved to have a visit whenever we saw each other to catch up on what each of our families were up to. Your family were neighbors to us since I was very young. Your mom was so good to us after mom died – she would drop off some of her Wonderful Baked goods for us once in a while.
May fond memories help you through this most difficult time. She made it to 100, and made the most of each of those years.
Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Gamble family at this sad time. We will always remember Mrs. Gamble for her easy smile, grace and her genuine affection for us. As Ben’s mum, she was an important part of our family here in Alberta and we always looked forward to her visits.

Always can picture Mom and Alida talking about the war days and how they were teenagers and how they survived. We went on day trips together, went to school together with the kids and went to meeting with Alida, she appreciated Isabel Beatty and Margot Titus so much in those beginning days. Homemade bread and lots of garden produce, all part of her daily cooking. We will miss you Alida!
