FRIJTERS: Elsie (Jackman) of St. Joseph, formerly of London

At Jessica’s House, Exeter on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 of St. Joseph and formerly of London at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Michael Fritjers (2018). Dear mother of Sidney Frijters of Goderich and Cheryl Prashker, Jeff Frijters, and Jim Fritjers all of London, Michelle and Steve Peckham of Madison, Alabama, and Melanie Frijters of London. Dear grandmother of Nicole, and Matthew; Scott, Owen, Chloe, and Isabelle.  Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Fondly remembered by Laurie and Tom Diemand, Steven and Katie Holst-Diemand, and Eve Diemand. Proud great-grandmother of James Diemand. Lovingly remembered by her aunt Shirley Birmingham and aunt Sheila Patrick. Predeceased by her brother Robert Jackman.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street North, Zurich on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 PM. Prayers will be said in the funeral home at 4:45 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St Joseph (73334 Bluewater Highway) on Monday, December 9th at 11 AM. Cremation with inurnment St. Peter’s Cemetery, St. Joseph.

Prayers will be said in the funeral home on Sunday at 4:45 PM.

Donations to Jessica’s House would be appreciated by the family.

Our thoughts are with the family. We have fond memories of Thanksgiving dinners together in the 70’s and later.
Mike and Elsie helped us out when we first came to Canada and sometimes would look after our boys as if they were part of their own family when needed.
