During this difficult time, may you find strength in your cherished memories of Rick, as these will remain with you forever. I had the privilege of knowing Rick through a long history at Frayne Chev Olds, working alongside him and his father.

I hold fond memories from the 1970s, delivering and driving cars with Rick, detailing them, and sharing moments that highlighted his dedication and kindness. His presence brought energy and joy to everyone around him, and I hope those memories bring comfort to you now.

Rick was such a gentleman…a kind and caring person…an amazing businessman and we appreciated his entire staff at Exeter Toyota. There has never been a better group of people…and Rick was the one who did that.

It was you and Rick on Carling Street in the early 70’s that forged the memories of “over the top” dinner parties….and well, just parties in general that were always fun and full of friendship and kindness. Rick was a gracious host and remarkable “listener”; rare in those days. His respect for his friends and devotion to his family have always been an admirable trait that he carried throughout his life.

Sending sincere condolences to you all. As soon as I started working with Rick many many years ago, I knew he wasn’t like any other dealer principals I had known. He was down to earth, fun loving and a true believer in the value of relationships and small towns. Working with him and Ron were some of the best times, they were both such great men. We hope you find comfort in the memories that you shared and the fun times you had, of which we are sure there were many.

It takes a lot of self confidence and courage to start up and run a business the size of Frayne’s Exeter Toyota. That Rick Frayne chose to do it did not surprise me.

Even when Rick and I were in public school he was very self confident and bold. That continued into high school. He stood out. You knew that this guy was going to be a difference maker.

Exeter lost a lot when it lost Rick Frayne.

Rick was a kind, caring and friendly person who always took time to talk with people at Exeter Toyota, myself included after over 25 years of being a loyal customer. He always had a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eyes, a story to share and demonstrated a positive attitude even though he was battling cancer which he did with courage and dignity. Rick will be greatly missed.
