Peacefully at Stratford Rotary Hospice on Saturday, September 24, 2022 of Huron Park and formerly of Hamilton in her 75th year. Loving daughter of Evelyn and the late Frank McCarty. Cherished wife of Paul Foley for over 54 years. Dear mother of Paula Herrington (Rob) and Wendy Bangay (Donny). Proud grandmother of Amanda Thompson (Cole McLean), Tyler Thompson (Alicia Baker), June Cypher; Emma Bangay, Elisabeth ‘Lizzie’ Bangay and great-grandmother of Alanis McLean, Dalton Baker, and Amelia Baker-Thompson. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Irene Jones, Rick McCarty (David Olson), Dawn McCarty (Bill Dowe), Sue Orr (Glenn Orr), and Roy Broadbent. Predeceased by sister Sharon Broadbent, brother and sister-in-law Frank and Claudia McCarty, and brother-in-law Daryl Jones. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and long time friends Tom and Linda Sandy.
Sheila loved being a Tawny Owl leader for Brownies for 33 years. Cremation has taken place. Haskett Funeral Home, EXETER entrusted with arrangements.
Donations to Girl Guides of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

I worked many midnight shifts with Sheila at Tims, she was a very kind-hearted woman and I always enjoyed working with her. My deepest condolences to Wendy and family.
