We are so sad to hear this news. Diane was such a huge part of our lives. As Tyson has said most of his childhood memories were in your backyard. I can’t even count the number of times I tried picking the boys up but Diane was having one of her parties and they didn’t want to leave – her parties were the best (especially when they got to smash the gingerbread house)!! I don’t know what Jake and I would have done without her. We were so lucky to have her in our lives. She will be missed.

Stan and family, so sorry for your loss, i will miss our usual greeting when ever I ran into Diane whether it be the hairdressers, or on the street in Lucan, it was always Hi Diane and a Hi Diane back with a bit of a chuckle, she has left beautiful memories for a lot of families in Lucan, treasure them.

Stan, Kimberly, Michelle and all of Diane’s family we are thinking of you at this sad time. We will miss all the conversations we had with her and Stan when we were walking by in the nicer weather. Remembering how she loved to decorate for every occasion (the neighbours and passersby loved it as well) especially Christmas we will hang an ornament on Haskett’s Angel Tree this Christmas for her.

We are so sorry to hear of Aunt Diane’s passing. She had a heart of gold and I have wonderful memories from childhood to adulthood, too many to mention. I will never forget the time as a youngster we took Aunt Diane perch fishing on the 16 Mile Creek in Oakville, during a family get together, and yes, she caught the most. We enjoyed our recent visits to the house over the past couple of years (and the baking!) and will cherish our time with her forever. I was sorry to hear of Diane’s diagnosis not that long ago and deeply saddened by her passing. I got to know Diane through volunteering at the Thrift Store. Such a loving, caring person. Always smiling. A wonderful lady who will be greatly missed by anyone who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing her.

Stan and family we all have very warm memories of Diane. We all can hear that wonderful laugh especially when we chuckle about the skunk in the live trap or when you the by-law guy had the smokiest bonfire, set Julie’s detector off and Harry Wraith payed us a visit or when I hid your pride and joy red pickup truck. We love you guys.

What wonderful memories shared with Diane over the years at the hockey arena as she proudly cheered on our boys. Diane was so proud being a part in the celebrations for Hockeyville. She was dressed from head to toe in green!

My deepest sympathy to you Stan and your family. I am so glad that I got to talk a bit with Diane in the parking lot at the Doctor’s office. At that time Diane was still going through tests. She was a wonderful women and will be missed in our community. She was such a huge supporter of all of our events at the Museum and we will all miss her smiling face. She literally lite up the room with her smile and wonderful laugh.

Diane has left a legacy, not just in her immediate family but all of those children that were in her care and their parents who appreciated her. Our own family is included in this list. She will be long remembered in her community. She was a very special person and we will be thinking of you all.

The way she genuinely supported our boys at hockey games – always asking when the next game was, made our hearts soar.
