Ioved Mother of CaroI (Bruce) HoeIscher, Seaforth, Jim (Ruth-Ann) Carter, Harpurhey, ellzabeth VarIey, Mitchell, AIIan (Karen) Carter, Harpurhey, EIaine (Don) Shropshall, CIinton, Christine (Doug) Fry, DubIin. AIso survived by 15 grand and 20 great-grandchiIdren. Dear sister of Warren Whitmore and sisters-in-Iaw EIva Whitmore, KathIeen Whitmore, and Evelyn Carter. Predeceased by brothers ErIin, FIetcher, Carman and sister Sarah elliott; sisters-in-Iaw Ruth Whitmore, Irene Whitmore; brothers-in-Iaw Iorne Carter, Gordon elliott, niece Karen Whitmore, nephew RaIph Whitmore, and her parents SamueI and Christina (Townsend) Whitmore. Friends wiII be received at the Whitney-Ribey FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Dear Carol, Elaine, Jim, Allan, Liz & Chris,spouses and families; Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your dear mom. I have many fond memories of our Saturday morning chats while I was cleaning at your parent&&single&&s home a few years ago. She was so proud of all of you and her love shone through when she spoke of you. It goes without saying that she will be missed deeply by you, but I understand her health had been failing and she was probably ready to be with your dad. Their 60th anniversary celebration with their family was such a highlight for them, as were the weddings of grandchildren and births of the great-grandbabies in recent years. Florence and Jack provided a wonderful foundation for a legacy of love, and I feel blessed that I had an opportunity to get to know them. Sincerely, Helen

Gerald remembers many activities with the Carter family during his younger days and these memories are very close to his heart. It is with great regret that Ken and I are unable to personally express our sincere sympathy on the passing of your mother. She was a very special woman who dearly loved her family. I will fondly remember my trips to the farm when I was a child. A visit and a good meal was always important. Even on our last visit with your mom at her apartment, she made sure that a delicious snack for morning tea was waiting for my mother and I when we arrived.
