Sorry to hear this. Edna was my room mate for a week of her radiation treatments last fall at the Residence Inn. She was such a warm, friendly person with so many interesting life stories. I feel very honored to have met her even if it was just for a brief time. But this last few months without professional sports to watch on TV, must have been very long for her.

We are so sorry about the loss of a dear friend and neighbour. Edna and Jack lived next to Vera and Herman in Wellburn for several years. Then years later, Vera and Edna became neighbours again in Fairhill Residence. We were sure that Jack and Herman had somehow arranged that! We will miss Edna’s kindness, beautiful smile and heartfelt hugs. She was a real gem and we will always have such good memories of her.

Condolence from Rhonda and Paul Dobbins on June 10th, 2020 5:21 PM

We are so terribly sorry to hear of Edna’s passing. We met her and Jack through my in-laws, Charles and Irene Dobbins. Meeting them had brought so much joy and laughter into our lives and were always over joyed to see them at conventions and when they would make the trip down into the States on their way to see Joe and family. we were a stopping point. What fun we had, Edna and I would shop till we dropped, go for walks, cook, and laugh, and laugh and laugh! We are still telling and laughing over both their jokes and antics. They brought sunshine, laughter, joy and down right common sense with them. She and Jack were loved by us all here. Our condolences and sympathies to all the family who she loved so well and dearly.

Jim: I met your mom several years ago when she was a care giver for Aileen Fairhall. Edna was a friend and a devoted neighbour to her. She became a client and friend to me, always had a smile making your day brighter. She went through many set backs but always worked hard to over come them.
She loved to share in conversation about her family and how excited she was the day she showed up in her little red car. I’am sure the tires rarely were cold.
I know how you, your brothers and families will miss her. She had a heart much bigger than most.
My thoughts are with you!

Condolence from Tim Campbell on June 12th, 2020 12:19 AM

May the kind words and thoughtful recollections of how your Mom helped others smile and was loved bring you comfort. Know that as you go forward moments in life will keep her with you, make you smile and ease your pain. Edna was a passionate fan who gave you strength knowing she was in your corner, had your back. God Bless

Extending my sincere sympathy to the family of Edna Febrey. Our family lived just around the corner from Jack and Edna in Wellburn and we were always welcome in their home for visits etc. After Jack was gone I would often go and mow the lawn in summer for Edna. Won’t forget her lovely smile. To the boys Jim John and Joe May God bless and keep you in His care. And to you especially Joe it’s been such a pleasure the days and fun we shared together in our growing up years. Precious memories. So keep me in the loop when you’re having the celebration of life and feel free to drop by anytime to visit. We’re on Facebook now aye ? Call 519-461-9535. Until then 👍
