I’m so very sorry & saddened to learn of John’s unexpected passing. My sincerest condolences to all his family & friends. No words can truly capture the depth of pain & sorrow you are all dealing with. I, along with my siblings had the privilege of knowing John from earlier years, he was a close family friend of our Parsons Family. John, along with other local horsemen owned, boarded & had young standardbred racehorses trained at my late parents (Jack & Marion Parsons) standardbred farm & training facility named “Parsons Stables” just west of Exeter. It was during those years that we got to know John well for his kind, soft spoken, caring, friendly demeanor, friendly smile – a true gentleman. At the end of the month John would come to the house to pay his monthly expenses, he always enjoyed mom’s coffee & homemade cookies, along with the small talk. So many great friendships were made at the farm. Again, speaking on behalf of myself & my siblings, we were honoured to have known John & appreciated his friendship with his visits when both our parents became sick with cancer & since passed. John truly loved & enjoyed the racehorse business. He was saddened when the family had to close the barn & business down. This last while, I regret losing contact with John – I am sincerely going to miss him like everyone else who knew & respected him. May you be surrounded by compassion, lifted by love & comforted by the memories – embracing your fondest memories from years gone by are always the best way to pay tribute to your loved one & a life well lived.” ♥️

❤️ “Though he may no longer walk beside you, his love will forever light your way.” ❤️

Someday, not now, & perhaps not for a long while — you will remember all you shared with less pain & more joy. But for now — just know John is resting peacefully with all his Loved Ones that have greeted him with open arms – I’m sure that John, my parents, & the other horsemen from the barn crew that have passed are reminiscing about the good ole days, talking about racehorses & enjoying coffee & cookies. RIP John ❤️

May good memories of smiles, laughter & good times remain with you always whenever you think of John.

❤️Brenda (Parsons) Martene ❤️
