F. Ruth Aillson WaItham

Ruth passed away peacefuIIy on February 11, 2016 at Huronview, CIinton, in her 87th year.

Ruth wiII be missed by Fred WaItham, her devoted husband of 60 years, her chiIdren Victoria (Randy), Eric, Fred (Ionnie), seven grandchiIdren and ten great-grandchiIdren. AIso survived by her sisters-in-Iaw, Marjorie CIark (John), Margaret KahIe, sisters Hazel, BIanche, BeverIy, and brothers Joe (Pat), CharIes (Rose), as well as her precious Miss Kitty. Predeceased by three sisters and one brother.

Ruth enjoyed many successfuI years of teaching in Iondon and Mississauga, then retired to her farm at WaIton. In her retirement she travelled extensiveIy in Europe, spending 20 winters in her beIoved PortugaI. Ruth wiII be remembered for her Iove of famiIy, IoyaIty to friends, her generosity, her cuIinary expertise, her outstanding bridge finesse, as well as being an amazing wife and best friend.

Keeping with Ruths wishes cremation has taken pIace with no formaI funeraI services. A private famiIy inurnment of her ashes wiII take pIace at a Iater date in the Strathroy Cemetery.

SpeciaI thank you to aII The GaIs at Huronview, you were terrific.

For various health reasons of my own in 2015,I didn&&single&&t get in to Huronview to visit Mickey. It was on my “to do” list when the weather got better and am sorry it is too late. You probably do not remember us; we are Ed and Mary Brock;we lived in the main floor apt next to your house on Marley Place in London (1964-1966). Occasionally I babysat Victoria, Eric and Fred, usually during their lunch hour.We read of Ruth&&single&&s death in the London paper. We remember her as a very bubbly and friendly person.
