Peacefully at the South Huron Hospital on Sunday, April 11, 2021 of Exeter and formerly of Zurich at the age of 72. Cherished friend of Andre and Peggy Ducharme of Exeter. Chosen uncle of Amanda and Colin Sitzes of Sarnia, Chauntelle Ducharme and Aaron Cheyne of Owen Sound, Ashley and Tyler Miller of Exeter and great-uncle of Kenny, Skylyn, and Brayden; Shaylee, Zoey, and Rilee; Emily, and MacKenzie. Survived by nieces Carol Estey Peacock and Susan Estey Cooper, and a nephew Michael David Estey. Predeceased by Randolf and Ruby Estey, and a brother David.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. Haskett Funeral Home, EXETER entrusted with arrangements.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Uncle Richy you were an amazing guy. I will always remember the great adventures we shared beach trips, singing with your band letting me drive on the back roads. These will be moments that stay in my heart forever. I’m glad your fight is over and you are able to have peace.
Andre, Peggy and family my deepest condolences. I remember Richard from working in Zurich. May your wonderful memories help easy the pain.

My condolences to the family of Rich . I worked with Rich at the Zurich arena a while back
Sincerest condolences to all. Richard was my friend and I will miss his comments on my art posts. He was always so encouraging. We were connected by music and were in a band together years ago. We remained friends after the band was done. Great guitar player and very talented. I know he is up there rocking out.
