I was so saddened to hear of cousin Marg’s passing. She was always kind and welcoming. I will cherish memories of my last visit with you both. I do not look at Canadian gueese without recalling when we all watched them come into the pond behind your house and ran from front to back to see them out of the windows – laughing all the way – back and forth.

Some of my fondest memories from childhood are my summertime visits to my grandparents, Aunt Marg and Uncle Charlie in Lucan. As I got older I came to realize what a special relationship and love Marg and Charlie had. Many people hope to attain what they had but very few do. She will be missed and remembered by many.

Dear Charlie and your kinfolk – it was always a pleasure to work with Margie at the University. I missed her when she took retirement ahead of me. But our little social group, The Golden Girls, kept up with our dinners and luncheons throughout the years. I will miss having Margie with the now diminished group – she was a delight to be with. May she rest in peace.

Charlie: Words, however kind, can’t mend your heartache, but those who care and share your loss wish you comfort and peace of mind. May you find strength in the love of family and in the warm embrace of friends…We remember bowling and going to the cottage north where you tried to teach me how to waterski..
