At Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall on Monday, October 12, 2015, formerly of Exeter in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Verne Smith (1990) and the late Kenneth Ellis (1996). Dear mother of Verla and Jim Russell of Exeter. Dear grandmother of Scot and Amie, and Mark and Deborah; and great-grandmother of Gavin. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Geneva (Jennie) Rowe of Exeter, Mary Abey and Marion Elliott both of London, and Mary Elliott of Exeter. Predeceased by her parents John and Mary Elliott, a sister Alva Heywood, and brothers Harold, William and Fredrick Elliott.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main), on Wednesday evening 7-9 PM, where the complete funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 1:30 PM. Private family interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Dear Jennie and Lila’s family,
Please accept our sympathy on the passing of Lila. She was a good neighbor to my parents, Stu and Lil, and I know Dad enjoyed the biscuits she would bring over to him and the many card games and dinners you all enjoyed together. May she rest in peace.
Although I only met Lila when I was in hospital with her in Exeter. We had some great chats , I just wished I had the privilege of knowing her longer. My condolences to her family.
Lila will be greatly missed by my family, she brought great joy in Dad’s final years, we truly appreciate all the love and joy she shared with us.
