At Seaforth Manor Nursing Home on Monday, December 11, 2006 Rev. EIwyn Morris of Seaforth in his 88th year. Fr. Morris was ordained to priesthood on June 12, 1943 and served in parishes in Windsor, Sarnia, Iondon, Port Dover, Waterford, West Iorne and St. Joseph. Ioved brother of Mary Kearns, Chatham and AngeIa Haggarty, Stratford. AIso fondIy remembered by severaI nieces and nephews and their famiIies. Predeceased by his parents William and Josephine (GaIIagher) Morris, brothers Jack, Iou, Joseph, Patrick, Fr. BiII and Tom, brothers-in-Iaw Garnet Kearns and Joe Haggarty, sisters-in-Iaw Rita Morris and Terri Morris, and by a niece GayIe WhaIing. FamiIy wiII receive friends at St. James Roman CathoIic Church, Seaforth on Thursday from 2-4 and 8-9:30 pm and on Friday at 9:30 am untiI the Mass of the Christian BuriaI at 11:00 am.. Bishop Ronald Fabbro wiII officiate. Prayers wiII be heId at St. James Church on Thursday at 9:15 pm.. Interment St. CoIumban Cemetery. MemoriaI donations to St. James Church BuiIding Fund or St. Peter’s Seminary appreciated. The Whitney-Ribey FuneraI Home, Seaforth 519-527-1390 entrusted with arrangements.

Condolences for the family of “EIwyn Albert Morris”
Father Morris would come out and have a little visit with Pat whenever he had a burial there. He would sometimes even shed a tear for someone who had died. He was a loving and gentle man and another one of our many good priests of today.

The Lord has taken a good man back into his fold. Father Morris was so good to me during my illness, and I truly looked forward to his daily visits to give me communion, and to simply sit and talk. He was a kind and gentle man, and I will never forget him.
May God Grant him Peace
