EAGLESON: It is with great sadness, that the family of Leona Ruth (O’Neill) Eagleson announces her passing on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Chartwell Parkhill LTC, Parkhill, formerly of London and Port Franks, age 86. Beloved wife of the late Gerald I. Eagleson (2002). Dear sister and sister-in-law of Wayne O’Neill of Alberta, Bob and Donna Mae O’Neill of Parkhill, Donald and Jeanette O’Neill of Thedford, Donna Rock of Ilderton, Norma Romphf of Parkhill, Joan Eagleson of Grand Bend, Marylou and Doug Dixon of Centralia, Bill and Barb Mercer of St. Thomas. Leona will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Robert (1979) and Alma (Wilkins) O’Neill (1977), infant son Daniel (1952), brother Edmund O’Neill (2015), sister-in-law Louise O’Neill (2019), brothers-in-law Glen Rock (1995), Norm Romphf (2017), Jack Eagleson (2016), nephews Craig O’Neill (1976) and Mark Rock (1977). A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with Interment Grand Bend Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Kate Crawford Officiant. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations (payable direct) to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Huron Shores United Church – Building Fund or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

So so sorry to learn of Leona’s passing. I have many fond memories of Leona & Gerry from the 60’s starting the dragstrip. She will be missed. Sincerely, Peter Warner
