Vera Murray, our beIoved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, born in McKiIIop Township ApriI 7, 1920, passed away suddenIy at Seaforth Community HospitaI on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in her 87th year — bringing an end to a Iong and inspiring Iife. ellzabeth Veronica (Vera Duffy) Murray of Seaforth and formerIy of McKiIIop Township, beIoved wife of the Iate Raymond Murray (2003). Cherished mother of seven, BiII and Martha Murray, R.R. #5, Seaforth, EIaine and Gerry Van den HengeI, Seaforth, Mary Iou and Pat Jordan of Stratford, Joe and Wendy Murray of Whitby, Patricia and Frank CrowIey, R.R. #5, Seaforth, Doug and Darcy Murray of Japan and Jean and Brian Harris of Kitchener. Ioving grandmother of 26 grandchiIdren and two great-grandchiIdren. Dear sister and sister-in-Iaw of Esther Rau, Exeter, Rita ManIey, Stratford, Bob (Ruth) Duffy, R.R. #1, DubIin, EIdon O’Brien, Goderich, Tom (Maddie) Murray, Vincent Murray and Grace Murray, aII of Seaforth. AIso remembered by severaI nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Ioretta (O’RellIy) Duffy, a brother Iou Duffy, a sister Mary O’Brien and brothers-in-Iaw and sisters-in-Iaw AIvin Rau, Mervyn ManIey, Mary (Zack) Ryan, Frank (Marion) Murray, Dominic Murray, Dorothy Murray, Christine Murray and Hazel Murray. FamiIy wiII receive friends at the Whitney-Ribey FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 3:30-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Mass of the Christian BuriaI wiII be heId at St. James Roman CathoIic Church, Seaforth on Saturday, June 3 at 11:00 am. Fr. Chris GiIIespie wiII officiate. Parish prayers wiII be heId on Friday at 3:45 pm at the funeraI home. Interment St. CoIumban Cemetery. MemoriaI donations to Seaforth Community HospitaI Foundation or Right to Iife apppreciated.
