DUNLOP: Kerri-ann of St. Thomas
Posted By Haskett Funeral Homes On April 9, 2026 @ 9:22 AM In Lucan,Obituary | 52 Comments

Passed away at Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin, St. Thomas with her husband by her side on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the age of 52. Cherished wife of Simon Morris for over 10 years. Loving mother, step-mother, and mother-in-law of Brianna and Michael Morris, Justin Morris, Alex Morris and Zee Hafez. Brianna will cherish the memories she shared with Kerri-ann and will forever be thankful for the motherly role she played in her life.
Proud gramma of Poppy Morris and Lincoln Morris. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Lindsay Robertson, and Shelley Dunlop and Paul Parsons. Beloved daughter of Sheila and Carl Dunlop. Kerri-ann will be fondly remembered by her niece Madeline Belle Robertson and her nephews Jackson Robertson, and Finley Parsons. Deeply loved by her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
For the past 10 years, Kerri-ann shared a deep and beautiful love with Simon. Anyone who knew them knows that he is an opinionated and strong-willed man, and Kerri-ann loved and embraced him fully for who he was. Her love was patient, accepting, and unwavering, she saw him for all that he was and loved him even more because of it. They shared a beautiful home together in St. Thomas where her passion for making places feel like home truly shined. She had a passion for creativity and was always making something meaningful for someone she loved. Whether it was through her quirky and fun machine embroidery designs, floral arrangements, handmade cards, or custom-made bags, she poured her heart into every piece, often gifting her creations to those she loved most.
Her words, “I’m not done,” became a quiet strength throughout her journey with brain cancer. And even now, those words still hold true. She is not done. She lives on through the love she gave so freely, the creativity she poured into everything she made, and the countless lives she touched. A part of her lives within all of us, because knowing her changed us, and her love will continue to be shared every day. Having Kerri-ann’s support in life was knowing that someone is always cheering you on, loving you, and being proud of who you are.
A celebration of Kerri-ann’s life will be held in May.
Donations to Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin would be appreciated by the family.
Our family is deeply grateful to the staff and volunteers at Barrie Hospice. The care, kindness, and compassion they showed meant more than words can express. The facility itself is beautiful, but it is the people within it who made it a place of comfort, dignity, and peace.

KA, I can’t properly express just how much you mean to me. I met you as 19 year old Taylor, lots of anxiety and blue hair and you watched me and helped me grow into the person I am today. I will always treasure our work days together and hearing all about your younger years. You loved to give me advice related to work and outside of work. One piece of advice I always carry with me is to never leave the house without mascara and a bra! I love you and I miss you already.
Condolences and Huge hugs to her beautiful family!

Kerri-ann was always cheerful, kind and eager to lend a helping hand. And, if you didn’t already know, she was boundlessly creative. Having worked with her at Greens Galore, Jennings and Fauxliage I knew first hand how talented she was. No task was too big for her to take on. Each piece was lovingly hand made, one of a kind and spectacular in form and function. Her endless attention to detail set her apart from the others, you could see the joy and love she added to every piece she designed and custom made. I’ll remember her enthusiasm with each new project. I’ll remember her smiles, her laugh and how much fun she was to be with.
My sincere sympathy to Simon and all her family and friends. Please know family was always a huge part of our conversations.

Kerri-ann, you my friend, were truly one of a kind. While it may have been some time since we’d seen each other, I remember our days and chats working at Staples together so fondly. It was great to see you flourish at Jennings after you moved on. You were so passionate about your family and such a kind and loving person.
