Lou passed away peacefully with family by her side at Craigwiel Gardens on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Cherished wife of Frank Dumont for 60 years. Loving mother of Troy Dumont of Toronto and Dean Dumont of Toronto. Dearly missed sister and sister-in-law of Laura & Clayton Scholtz of Goderich, Marguerite Levesque, Rick & Judy Dumont of Azilda, Carol Dumont of Windsor, JP & Marguerite Dumont, and Carmond Dumont. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, John and Marguerite Levesque, and by her siblings: Terry & Charlie O’Brien, John & Kay Schnider, John & Alexa Levesque, Therese Levesque, Cathy & Ray Butler, John & Donaloa Levesque, Gerry & Hector LeBlanch, Eugene Levesque, Gilbert Levesque, Fern & Rolly Chouinard, Lucine Dumont, and Omar & Flo Dumont.
Lou was very artistic and was often found watercolour painting. She even tried her hand at hairdressing. True to her creative spirit, Lou was also a fantastic decorator and could make any space look beautiful.
In keeping with Lou’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
